The
star of the The Teddy Roosevelt Lounge and its most prominent feature is
its bar, beautifully crafted and adorned with hand-carved wood
ornaments. Teddy Roosevelt was a consummate outdoorsman, and his
influence is felt in the design and atmosphere of this incredibly cozy lounge.
There are an array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages served here,
as well as a variety of hors d'oeuvres and sandwiches. Although it's on
the pricy side, everything here is delicious. I particularly recommend
the fried shrimp sandwich and the melon soda float.
The lounge is divided into two areas, the front area with the bar and
tables, and a back room with both tables and overstuffed couches. The
back room is my favorite, as they sometimes have live music. The back
room features some large and detailed paintings of the lounge's
namesake, so if you're not sitting there you might want to take a stroll
back there anyway to see the decor. The back room also has a large
fireplace, although I've never seen it lit.
