For most Americans the thought of visiting Disneyland during or after a
snow storm is, well, pure fantasy. California and Florida are both known
for their mild winter weather, so unless Mother Nature is sleeping on the
job you'll never see a serious snowflake in a United States Disneyland.
But snowfall in Tokyo is a normal winter occurrence.
I have never been
to Tokyo Disneyland when it was snowing, but I was taken aback when I
first saw pictures. I think Tokyo Disneyland looks enchanting on a sunny
summer day, but snow gives it a whole new personality—it truly deserves to
be called a Winter Wonderland.
These photographs were given to me by my
friend in Tokyo, Kuramori San.
